Welcome to the Sugarbush Resort History home page!
On December 25, 1958, something happened that would change the Mad River Valley forever. Damon and Sara Gadd along with Jack Murphy and Lixi Fortna opened up Sugarbush Valley's Lincoln Peak for skiing for the first time. This marked the beginning of an exciting era for the New England ski industry, especially for central Vermont. Follow the links on the left to learn more! The links at the top of the page will give you current mountain stats and info.
