Sugarbush History -- The Cohen Years

Roy Cohen purchased Sugarbush from the Gadds in 1977. His term at Sugarbush brought about some of its most significant expansions and improvements. Perhaps the most important was his purchase of the adjacent Glen Ellen ski area. He combined the two areas under the Sugarbush name. Now known as Sugarbush Mt. Ellen, this mountain added 34 trails and 4 lifts to Sugarbush, and accounts for the resort's 2600' vertical drop and 4083' elevation, the third highest in the state.
