In 1983, Roy Cohen sold the resort to food supplier ARA Services. ARA only owned Sugarbush for one year. In that time, the only significant change to the resort was the removal of the Carlevario Savio 3-person top-to-bottom gondola. In its place, ARA installed two triple chairs: Super Bravo and Heaven's Gate. This increased the uphill capacity of that part of the lift system from 450 persons per hour (pph) to 1800 pph.
